The weekends are becoming more exciting for me. Not only as a break from work, but also because it’s when we can spend the most time as a family. We recently took the kiddos to the beach and we had the best time.
Solomon ran around the beach and Olivia watched in awe. It’s so special watching them be happy and free in nature. “Mommy, I can’t wait until Olivia gets a little bigger and she can run around and play with me,” he said. With a warmed heart, I agreed.
We ate snacks and snapped photos while the kiddos lounged around in their Kindhood hooded ponchos. They were so comfy, Solomon didn’t want to take his off. They will be perfect during our trips to the beach when the weather is a little cooler.
Quality time with my family is truly the most rewarding thing ever. I’m looking forward to the holidays even more because it will be Olivia’s first Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. So special to see new experiences through my children’s eyes.
We had a blast today at the kiddos’ first fall festival! There were horse, hay and train rides and a petting zoo. A bounce house and a pumpkin patch!
Although it still feels like summer here in Florida, we love to get out and enjoy the fall festivities! I’m on the hunt for more pumpkin patches and fun things to do in our area.
There were some beautiful animals, including this zebra-like horse (not sure of the official name). Solomon didn’t pet too many of the animals in the petting zoo, but we managed to convince him to pet a ferret!
There was a fun Thomas the Train ride that took us around the property. We saw even more animals, such as pigs, camels, cows, and other animals we had never seen or heard of before.
There was a bounce house, and naturally Solomon wanted to jump around and slide down the slide most of the time we were there!
I love capturing moments like this between Gary and Olivia. She is a daddy’s girl for sure.
We had to go to the pumpkin patch, and Olivia was mesmerized by all the pumpkins lol.
Good times were had by all!
Well, my maternity leave is sadly coming to an end in a few weeks. I’m so grateful to have had almost six months off of work, but it’s time to go back soon.
I’m slowly getting my mindset back into working again, and what better way than to plan my work wardrobe! Since I go into the office at least twice a month on Friday’s, I’ll need a small wardrobe for those days. It won’t be difficult to put together, as we can wear jeans. So I put together a few looks to get me going.
Blouse | Jeans | Shoes
Although there are a few trends going on here, I love that they give a classic look. The peasant top is just the right amount of comfy, casual meets sophistication for work. The lace up flats are fun but still appropriate for work, and you can show them off with a great pair of ankle jeans.
Blouse | Jeans | Shoes
What says summer wardrobe more than espadrilles? I love the scallop detail and slight platform for more dressed up, casual. Pair lighter wash ankle jeans and a lightweight short sleeve blouse with statement sleeves, to complete the look.
Necklace | Shoes | Dress
You can’t go wrong with a denim shirt dress. It’s a fresh take on wear jeans to work day. I love this sleeveless one. I would probably wear a thin white cardi over it to dress it up a bit. I have been wanting denim-looking sandals for the longest, and I’ve found them in this cute pair with fringe detail. Complete the look with a statement necklace and voila!
Memorial Day weekend is coming up, and everyone is excited for a long weekend! I enjoy these holidays because it means cookout season! I like to spend time outdoors, especially when the weather is really nice.
I put together some outfits for the whole family. I didn’t go with the traditional red, white and blue this time, as we’ll save that for the 4th of July. I love Old Navy, as you can buy an entire outfit for the whole family, and at great prices! So, all of the looks are from there.
Linen is a summer staple for its breathable, lightweight fabric. My favorite silhouette is cinched at the waist, so I love this drawstring dress. Pair it with nude sandals for a casual, yet polished look.
Keep it cool during the summer day with a leightweight tshirt and drawstring shorts for dad. Pair it with slipons or sneakers to complete the look.
Shorts | T-shirt |Shoes
The same rules can apply for dad and brother–shorts and a t-shirt in breathable fabrics. I like these denim drawstring shorts, as my son has a small waist. He can get a lot of wear out of them as there is sure to be room to grow.
Shorts | T-shirt | Shoes
Old Navy has the cutest bubble rompers, and the one below is definitely one of them. I love the stripes and colors, and how cute are the sandals! Complete the look with a cute black bow (P.S. I’ve fallen in love with Baby Bling headbands as they don’t leave a mark on my little ones forehead!)
Romper | Sandals | Headband
Can you believe each look is under $45?That means you can shop the entire family’s outfits for about $150!
My favorite trend right now is statement earrings. It’s the easiest way to dress up the most casual look. You can wear them with anything from a t-shirt and jeans to a cocktail dress. Here are some of my favorite styles. I love tassels, pom poms and neon colors!
