Memorial Day weekend is coming up, and everyone is excited for a long weekend! I enjoy these holidays because it means cookout season! I like to spend time outdoors, especially when the weather is really nice.
I put together some outfits for the whole family. I didn’t go with the traditional red, white and blue this time, as we’ll save that for the 4th of July. I love Old Navy, as you can buy an entire outfit for the whole family, and at great prices! So, all of the looks are from there.
Linen is a summer staple for its breathable, lightweight fabric. My favorite silhouette is cinched at the waist, so I love this drawstring dress. Pair it with nude sandals for a casual, yet polished look.
The same rules can apply for dad and brother–shorts and a t-shirt in breathable fabrics. I like these denim drawstring shorts, as my son has a small waist. He can get a lot of wear out of them as there is sure to be room to grow.
Old Navy has the cutest bubble rompers, and the one below is definitely one of them. I love the stripes and colors, and how cute are the sandals! Complete the look with a cute black bow (P.S. I’ve fallen in love with Baby Bling headbands as they don’t leave a mark on my little ones forehead!)
We had a fun Easter weekend! I love celebrating holidays with my little family. It gives me such a warm feeling. I feel so thankful. Jesus is the reason for this holiday!
We took the kiddos to an Easter egg hunt our church put together at a local school. Solomon had a blast “finding” eggs and filling up his Easter basket. What’s cool is there was a helicopter dropping eggs into a giant field. Solomon said, “Mommy, it’s raining eggs!”
Pics with a five-year-old lol.
Just for fun…my little princess!
We also went to church and had a potluck with the fam. I made my famous banana pudding…the only dessert I know how to make!
By the way, our Easter outfits came together just the way I imagined. I scored the above pictured tie-up sandals from Ross for $13!
I am loving all things chambray! It’s the perfect blend of a denim look in a lightweight fabric. Family coordinated looks are my favorite to create right now. Without looking too matchu-matchy, choose one fabric or color that everyone will wear, and build around that.
So just for fun, here are some nice chambray looks for the family.
Now that our family of four is complete, I’m obsessed with coordinating outfits for the whole family. Spring is my favorite season, so I’ve been pinning and thinking of easy, light, airy outfits to stay cool in the nice but warmer weather. Since Easter is coming up, I can’t wait to plan our outfits for the holiday. Here are the outfits I have in mind.
Mom & Olivia
I’ve always loved the color blush, especially for spring.
Dad & Solomon
Navy is so sophisticated, and a classic color year-round.
