Well, my maternity leave is sadly coming to an end in a few weeks. I’m so grateful to have had almost six months off of work, but it’s time to go back soon.
I’m slowly getting my mindset back into working again, and what better way than to plan my work wardrobe! Since I go into the office at least twice a month on Friday’s, I’ll need a small wardrobe for those days. It won’t be difficult to put together, as we can wear jeans. So I put together a few looks to get me going.
Blouse | Jeans | Shoes
Although there are a few trends going on here, I love that they give a classic look. The peasant top is just the right amount of comfy, casual meets sophistication for work. The lace up flats are fun but still appropriate for work, and you can show them off with a great pair of ankle jeans. Blouse | Jeans | Shoes
What says summer wardrobe more than espadrilles? I love the scallop detail and slight platform for more dressed up, casual. Pair lighter wash ankle jeans and a lightweight short sleeve blouse with statement sleeves, to complete the look.
You can’t go wrong with a denim shirt dress. It’s a fresh take on wear jeans to work day. I love this sleeveless one. I would probably wear a thin white cardi over it to dress it up a bit. I have been wanting denim-looking sandals for the longest, and I’ve found them in this cute pair with fringe detail. Complete the look with a statement necklace and voila!
It was a busy weekend! My little man graduated VPK, and is on his way to kindergarten. Time flies! He did so great during the program. He sang with his class and was of course the star of the show 😂
To celebrate, we took him to Legoland and he had a blast! He went on 4 roller coasters like a champ. As we were in line for one of the rides, he whispered, “Mommy, don’t yell out on the ride.” Needless to say, he screamed the whole ride!
P.S. a little morning reading with baby sister 😍
Yesterday was such a special Mother’s Day for me. Olivia turned 3 months, and we had her baby dedication at church!
Here is her 3-month photo (P.S. I love getting creative with these!)
And her beautiful christening dress. It is a special keepsake not only for the occasion, but also for the blood, sweat and tears that went into finding the perfect dress!
Being a mother has made me appreciate time so much more. Not to take the little moments for granted. Motherhood is my proudest accomplishment. To help these little people become all God has called them to be is my greatest mission.
And it wouldn’t be a special Mother’s Day without honoring the woman who brought me into this world…my mother! I appreciate the sacrifices she made for my siblings and I so much more now that I am a mother of two.
Mother’s Day is two weeks away, and we decided to have Olivia’s christening on that day as well. We had been back and forth about when to dedicate her, as we waited until Solomon was 6 months. But since our church only does them every few months; we figured now would be a good time. Plus, I think it will be special to dedicate her on a holiday that celebrates motherhood.
I’m hoping to find some cute “mommy and me” matching outfits! Olivia will wear white, so I’ll have to find something similar. Here are some options I’m considering.
